Conducted between April and June 2026, the three-month project involved multiple breakbulk shipments, flat rack containers, and standard containers, requiring comprehensive logistics coordination and specialized cargo handling.

 

Comprehensive Logistics for Hydro Turbine Components

The project involved the transportation of heavy and oversized hydro turbine components, with Shenzhen Speed-Up managing various stages of the logistics process.

 

The company's scope of services included:

• Warehousing: Storage of cargo before shipment.
• Loading and Lashing: Loading and securing oversized components for transportation.
• Third-Party Survey: Arranging independent cargo inspections.
• Customs Clearance: Managing export customs procedures.
• Ocean Freight: Coordinating maritime transportation from Shanghai to Rotterdam.

Handling Heavy and Oversized Cargo

The shipment included hydro turbine components with substantial dimensions and weights, requiring specialized loading, lashing, and transportation arrangements.

The cargo specifications included:

• Breakbulk Cargo (BBK): 3 units, each measuring 680 × 640 × 305 cm and weighing 19,000 kg.
• 20' Flat Rack (OWH): Dimensions of 440 × 390 × 396 cm, weighing 15,000 kg.
• 40' Flat Rack (OWH): Cargo dimensions of 780 × 280 × 355 cm + 270 × 270 × 35 cm, weighing 15,000 kg.
• 40' Flat Rack (OW): Cargo dimensions of 320 × 275 × 90 cm + 270 × 270 × 35 cm + 320 × 275 × 90 cm, weighing 22,000 kg.

 

The combination of different cargo dimensions, weights, and equipment types required careful coordination throughout the project.

Shenzhen Speed-Up arranged the necessary loading and lashing operations, third-party surveys, and customs clearance procedures to support the safe handling and transportation of the hydro turbine components.
