Vector Global Logistics Delivers Oversized Combine Harvester to Germany

We are pleased to highlight another successful project completed by our member, Vector Global Logistics, demonstrating the company's expertise in managing complex oversized cargo through carefully engineered multimodal transport solutions.

The project involved the transportation of a Claas Lexion 590R combine harvester from Canada to Germany, combining oversized road transport with RoRo ocean freight to achieve an efficient, reliable, and cost-effective solution.

Rather than selecting a direct transport route, Vector Global Logistics designed a multimodal solution that combined oversized road transportation to the United States with a RoRo ocean service to Germany. This approach optimized both operational efficiency and overall project costs while ensuring the cargo was transported safely.

A key challenge throughout the operation was the loading schedule. Due to the nature of the equipment, loading could only be performed under dry weather conditions, requiring continuous monitoring, operational flexibility, and close coordination between all parties involved.

From planning the oversized inland transport and preparing the combine harvester for export to coordinating the RoRo shipment and final delivery, every stage of the project was managed as a single integrated logistics operation.

The successful execution of this shipment once again demonstrates Vector Global Logistics' ability to develop practical and innovative logistics solutions tailored to the specific requirements of oversized cargo, ensuring efficiency without compromising safety or reliability.
