Good News...

We are proud to share that earlier last week R&B Global Projects had the nice opportunity to handle a nice shipment of two catamarans that were shipped from Rijeka port, Croatia to Hong Kong. The catamarans were just under 10 meters long, 3.3 meters wide and just under 4 meters high, with a weight of 3 tons per catamaran. They were delivered to Rijeka on special trucks, where we carefully coordinated with the terminal to reload them to two 40’Flatracks and thoroughly lashed them as per client request to handle with extra care. Client is happy and R&B wishes the client a lot of nice memories on the beautiful catamarans!

Good News...

Following the last project that UP Cargo worked dismantling the Thermoelectric, the company decided to consign them the export of the engines, transformers, and the CO2 cells.

This was a good opportunity to develop other projects areas in UPCARGO, also a challenge, but UPCARGO trusts its experiences and its collaborators, so it was always sure that, regardless of the magnitude of the project, together we could pull it off.

The Project started finding the way to transport the 39 pieces that they already have dismantled. They were looking for a barge to put the 39 pieces on that. After contacted many options, they found the perfect one to develop this project. Then they must rent an 800 tons crane service to load the barge. Also, they must rent 39 trucks and coordinate the logistics to transport piece by piece while the crane was loading the pieces in the barge as programed.



Their work consisted of route inspection, study of route diagrams, heavy lifting of cargo studies, prior coordination, preventive logistics.

The steps for this operation to be carried out were as follows:
1. Customs clearance and procedures
2. Barge Service
3. Coordination with the barge
4. Crane service to load the cargo into the barge
5. Logistics mobilization of the engines, transformers, cells, CO2 rooms from the depot to the port
6. Coordination with the two warehouses where the equipment’s were storage
7. Mobilization parts of the cargo to the port
8. Barge loading
9. Coordination with the welder service
10. Coordination with Surveyors

Finished the arduous labor of loading, they must work with a welder to ensure the lashing of the cargo and rent the service of the surveyor to have the certification of lashing.

Were 32 continuous hours of work to develop this project, with UP Cargo team always maintaining the logistics prevention, without any incidents or accidents. They can say with UPCARGO Logistics you will have your cargo safe.

We are proud to share that Polaris Shipping Agencies LLC, United Arab Emirates was awarded a contract for pre-carriage and FOB operation of portable kitchen with dining facility which consisted of 4 portable cabins and 1 set of runner master kid to Libya with shipment originating from factory in Oman. Considering the OOG nature of cargo, shipment was carefully moved from suppliers in Oman to Jebel Ali by road and stored at their customs bonded storage facility inside Jebel Ali Free Zone awaiting for required vessel, space/equipment availability. Subject shipment was then booked for Jebel Ali/ Libya leg with one of the prime container carriers considering their weekly sailings and due to which all units were lashed and secured to required flat racks/flat beds on board the vessel with in the strictly permitted operational window by carriers. The entire operation was carried out under strict supervision of our HSEQ personnels to ensure that subject time sensitive cargo with strict arrival deadline does not encounter any delays in transit and arrives destination with in the agreed delivery schedule.

A multinational energy company established in Panama, city of Colón installs its facilities in 2015, 6 years later made the decision to withdraw its bases, for which it was necessary to hire a responsible company that would be in charge of dismantling the thermoelectric plant so that later their parts were shipped back to Honduras.

This great opportunity was offered to UPCARGO. UPCARGO Team took action to give their best in this new objective. The projections for the participation of this great project began in mid-2021. And it was finally developed in May 2022.

UPCARGO was in charge of the mobilization of 40 units, including 19 motors of 50-TON, transformers, cells, CO2 rooms, among other parts of the thermoelectric plant.

Their work consisted of route inspection, study of route diagrams, heavy lifting of cargo studies, prior coordination, preventive logistics.

The steps for this operation to be carried out were as follows:
1. Customs clearance and procedures
2. Crane service to dismantling the thermoelectric
3. Logistics mobilization of the engines, transformers, cells, CO2 rooms to the depot
4. Warehousing in intermediate depots.
5. Mobilization parts of the plants to the port in special equipment.



The development of this operation was approximately ended in 25 days, with their staff in the field in which their team gave their effort day after day so that the operation could be carried out without incidents, always complying with the quality standard of our services and for the client.

Good News...

We are proud to share that our United Arab Emirates member Polaris Shipping Agencies was awarded a contract of shipments of around 14,500 frt.tons of various automobiles & construction equipments from China to Port Jebel Ali, consisting of RORO and static units which had strict delivery dead line, as to meet an auction commencing by third week June 2022 in Jebel Ali. As aware, due to the severe Covid 19 outbreak in China there was a total shut down and most of the offices were not working which has made it difficult for their partners to ship the equipments on time. However, with the close follow and cooperation of all concerned, shipment was able to be connected from different Chinese ports subject to space availability and evaluating the transit time of each available sailing options.



On arrival and immediately on discharge of shipment at Port Jebel Ali, necessary permissions was obtained from DPA for inspection of each units in line with their Standard Operational Procedures and established quality requirements to verify for any damages whilst at sea and also for the identification details of each units such as Engine Number, Chassis Number etc.

The complete shipment was Customs Cleared in record time, delivered to Consignee round the clock to the full satisfaction of their customer in China as well as in United Arab Emirates.

Polaris was also entrusted with a land side operation in UAE for a shipment of around 15 x Self Supporting Tank Trailers Ex Europe to Clients yard in Emirates of Abu Dhabi. Considering the OOG dimensions of Supporting Tank Trailer, permission was obtained from Clients to pull subject Tank Trailers with suitable prime movers drien by experienced drivers. All required Customs formalities was completed on time by their able Customs Clearing and Forwarding Team so that units which is arriving in different lots can be delivered to Consignee with in the free port storage window  as required by consignee to their receiving sites convenience.
