1. Could you share the story behind your company’s entry into the freight forwarding industry and how it has evolved over time?
Headway was founded by five close friends who studied together at university, all of whom had experience working in the shipping and freight forwarding industry. We recognized the potential and challenges within the logistics industry and wanted to contribute our knowledge and experience to build a leading logistics company in Vietnam. Our goal is to provide customers with exceptional value-added services while striving to maintain high speed and flexibility to adapt to changes in the business environment.

2. Could you highlight key milestones in your company’s history and how your experience has shaped your position in the market today?

2003: Headway Co., LTD was established.
2012: Acquisition of NIS’s trucking fleet.
2016: Creation of Hanoi Branch Office.
2018:

• Creation of Quang Nam Representative Office.
• Launch of new CHX service from Japan to Chu Lai Port (Quang Nam province).

2019:

• Awarded Number 1 in APL’s Asia Top Performance.
• Reformed Headway Co., LTD to Headway Joint Stock Company.

2020:

• Agency agreement in Central Vietnam for Zim Line and Gold Star Line.
• Creation of Da Nang Branch Office.
• Launch of new CLX service from China to Chu Lai Port (Quang Nam Province) on December 12.

2021:

• Awarded Number 1 in CMA-CGM’s Asia Top Performance.
• Relocated Ho Chi Minh Office to newly-owned office.
• Creation of Le Thanh Depot.
• Creation of Hai Phong Branch Office.
• New handling record of 90,465 TEU for the performance of 2021.

2022:

• Contract logistics with VICT terminal for reefer service package.
• Acquisition of Thien Phuc Co., Ltd. and set-up of Headway Qui Nhon Co., Ltd.
• Rebranding of Headway Joint Stock Company.

2023:

• Established Project & NVOCC department.
• Creation of Thanh Hoa Branch Office.
• Headway’s 20th Anniversary.

The complex and tailored requirements of project logistics demand creative and strategic thinking to develop and execute effective solutions. Our extensive experience and expertise ensure that Out-of-Gauge (OOG) transportation is handled safely, on time, and within budget.
