INO Maritime Success | Racing Cargo, Mexico
Maritime Day, celebrated on 25th September, reminds us of the essential role of ocean freight companies in global trade. From oversized machinery to renewable energy structures, sea freight cargo keeps industries running and economies connected. This September, INO Maritime Success highlights the expertise of our members who excel in ocean freight logistics, delivering reliable sea freight shipping services and proving the strength of dedicated ocean freight forwarders worldwide.
Turning Complexity into Control: Solar Structure Project from India to U.S.A.
Project Overview
Our member Racing Cargo (Mexico) successfully coordinated the movement of 37,600 metric tons of bundled solar steel structures from India to the U.S.A.. This was not a one-time shipment — the cargo was distributed across 12 full vessels over a 10-month period, with shipments arriving back-to-back and requiring flawless execution.
Operational Challenges & Solutions
- Each bundle needed segregation by project and color, with damaged pieces identified without interrupting vessel discharge.
- Initial discharges faced challenges due to limited prior connections with stevedores. Racing Cargo swiftly pivoted, engaging directly with every supply chain partner — from terminal operators to trucking companies — to establish strong collaboration protocols.
- A major breakthrough came with the rapid implementation of a custom in-house inventory management system, enabling real-time tracking, accurate packing lists, and seamless coordination between port-loaded cargo and dispatched trucks.
Results
Through close cooperation with network partners, Racing Cargo overcame operational bottlenecks, minimized errors, reduced costs, and ensured smooth delivery to the inland destination. The result was not only the safe delivery of thousands of tons of solar infrastructure, but also a proven operational model ready to be replicated for future large-scale projects.
Congratulations to Racing Cargo for their outstanding achievement in ocean freight shipping, turning complexity into control and proving the strength of innovative sea freight services.
