Powerful Collaboration | From Spain to Final Delivery in Mexico
Good News...
We are pleased to share a great example of cooperation between our OPCA members: Racing Cargo from Mexico and Translog Overseas from Spain.
This impressive operation involved the transportation of an oversized industrial furnace weighing 50 tons and measuring 19.35 x 3.22 x 3.22 meters from Bilbao, Spain, to San Luis Potosí, Mexico, covering more than 9,000 kilometers.
Our member in Spain, Translog Overseas, ensured smooth loading operations at the Port of Bilbao with a dedicated terminal slot and early morning lift, supported by high-capacity cranes. Due to the cargo’s dimensions, a breakbulk vessel was arranged to guarantee exclusive space on board and prevent any disruptions.
During the sea transit, a tailor-made lashing and stowage plan was implemented to minimize risks. While the cargo was on the way, Racing Cargo, our member in Mexico, handled all customs procedures and inland transport arrangements in advance. This proactive planning allowed for immediate customs clearance at the Port of Altamira.
Thanks to a reinforced lowboy trailer with custom extensions and a pre-approved route, the cargo was delivered safely and on schedule to its final destination in San Luis Potosí.
This successful project is yet another example of the strong cooperation and expertise within the OPCA family. We congratulate both teams for their professionalism and seamless coordination!
