Translog Overseas Moves Electric Equipment To Taiwan
We are pleased to share a successful project carried out by our member Translog Overseas, involving the transportation of large electric equipment from Vigo, Spain to Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
The project required careful coordination and handling due to the size and weight of the cargo. Translog Overseas managed the operation from the shipper’s facilities in Vigo through to export preparation and ocean shipment.
Project Details
- Origin: Vigo City, Spain
- Commodity: Electric equipment
- Cargo Dimensions: 420 × 351 × 208 cm
- Weight: 18,800 kg (2 units)
- Equipment Used: 2 × 20’ Flat Rack containers
- Route: Vigo – Kaohsiung
The Translog team arranged the collection of the equipment directly from the shipper’s facilities by truck and transported it to their warehouse located near the port of Vigo. At the warehouse, the cargo was carefully prepared for shipment and loaded onto two 20’ Flat Rack containers, ensuring proper securing and stability for the ocean voyage.
After loading and securing operations were completed, the containers were transported by road to the Port of Vigo, where they were prepared for export and onward shipment to Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
This successful operation highlights Translog Overseas’ capability in managing project cargo and oversized equipment, ensuring safe handling, reliable coordination, and efficient international transport.
At OPCA – Overseas Project Cargo Association, we are proud to see our members continuing to deliver complex logistics solutions and strengthening global project cargo connectivity through professional execution.
