Wind Flanges OOG Multimodal Delivery
Good News...
We are pleased to share another successful project from our member Transped from Spain, who recently executed the multimodal transport of six oversized wind turbine flanges, supporting the growth of the renewable energy industry.
Each unit measured 7.5 meters in diameter and weighed 42 tons, bringing the total shipment to an impressive 256.6 tons. The cargo arrived in Spain from China and was expertly handled through multiple phases of logistics.
After arrival at a Spanish port, the flanges were transshipped across terminal facilities and then moved via inland river navigation on the Guadalquivir River to their final delivery point in Seville. The operation involved close coordination with port authorities and local logistics partners, including night-time handling operations to ensure efficiency and safety.
This project underscores Transped’s expertise in Out-of-Gauge (OOG) and heavy-lift cargo handling, offering tailor-made logistics solutions to meet the demands of complex industrial deliveries.
We congratulate Transped for their precise execution and contribution to sustainable infrastructure through their professional project logistics services.
