Khimji Ramdas Shipping Delivers Oversized Capital Goods

Good News...

Khimji Ramdas Shipping LLC (KRS) recently ensured smooth execution of clearance and delivery scope for a shipment of oversized capital goods for a raw petroleum coke manufacturing facility in Oman, taking delivery under hook at the Breakbulk terminal at Sohar.

The shipment comprised various cargo items encompassing a total volume of 8628 CBM, with the longest piece being 37.5 meters, the widest piece at 3.65 meters, and the heaviest piece being 53 tons. Total packages handled were 189 in number.

The critical activities were to ensure that the trailers were placed under hook prior to vessel arrival so as to ensure a fast turnaround of the vessel and move the oversized packages through the under-repair road access to the Free Zone area with suitable trailers, entailing nighttime transits with police escorts.

The necessary permissions for free zone delivery were obtained from the authorities, a route survey was conducted prior to vessel arrival, and a detailed plan was shared with the receiver of cargo for arranging prompt offloading.

KRS does it again, meeting the required standards of execution, HSE, and clearance, ensuring timely delivery to the end client's satisfaction.

Congratulations to Khimji Ramdas Shipping LLC from Oman for their excellent job!
