Point Global Logistics, LLC, a leading logistics provider based in the United States, has successfully executed the Comanche Project, showcasing their expertise in handling high-volume, time-sensitive, and complex cargo shipments. The project involved the transportation of boilers and accessories, with a total volume of 1,200 REV tons and the heaviest piece weighing 180 metric tons.

Project Overview:

• Duration: 1.5 years, from manufacturing to shipping.
• Scope: The shipment was carried out under an FOB (Supplier) Vietnam to DAP Houston, TX arrangement, with the cargo arriving on time for the customer's startup date.
• Cargo Specs: The project involved sensitive and heavy equipment, including boilers and accessories, which required meticulous planning and specialized equipment.

Logistics Execution:

• The cargo was loaded at CaiMep Port, Vietnam, with the use of self-geared vessels to accommodate the oversized and heavy cargo.
• The self-geared vessel was used to handle the loading and unloading processes, ensuring the cargo was safely and efficiently transported.
• The shipment was secured in under-deck stowage, utilizing a combination of truck/barge for the journey, to ensure the safe and timely transportation of the heaviest cargo.

Point Global Logistics leveraged its global reach to position specialized equipment and effectively coordinate the entire shipment process. The vessel sailed directly to Houston, ensuring that the cargo arrived on schedule for the customer's critical startup date. With careful planning around the laycan days, Point Global ensured that the loading and delivery were completed within the customer's required timeline.
